Warm Winter Wedding Wear

Posted by Leena Kollar on 16th Dec 2015

Winter weddings are usually very elegant. Even with seasonal touches like pine cones and snowflakes and berries, they are rich in detail. And winter weddings that are held outdoors, in the snow, are incredibly breathtaking. There is something about saying "I do" against a blanket of white snow that is romantic and beautiful. But you know what can put a damper on a bride's big day during the winter? Being cold. It certainly can't feel good to have a brisk wind blowing on your face as you're trying to say your vows. Or snow falling down on your well coiffed hair when you're trying to focus on your groom. Luckily, there are a few ways to add warmth to your look that are stylish and cozy.

Seasonal outerwear, like fur shrugs, is common for winter brides who have an outdoor ceremony. You can find luxurious pieces that will look great over your wedding dress, that can easily be removed for an indoor reception. Other pieces, like gloves or tights, will add a hint of warmth without overpowering or taking away from your look. These can also easily be taken off once the celebration moves inside. You can capture some truly gorgeous outdoor wedding photos with these types of accessories, so you'll also be enhancing the physical memories of your wedding day.

So what do you think? Do you like the idea of adding winter wear to a wedding look?
