Using a Photobooth at Your Wedding

Posted by Leena Kollar on 22nd Oct 2014

One of the most important parts of a wedding is the photography. Other than cherishing the day in your heart, photographs are the only way to create physical memories of the event. But the memories should not be limited to the bride and groom. There should be a way for your guests to remember all of the fun that they had. Yes, you can have your wedding photographer take pictures of your guests throughout the day, but then they have to wait several weeks before they can view and purchase them. Your guests can bring their own cameras, but that can be a hassle. A better option is to rent a photobooth for your guests to enjoy. Photobooths are becoming a popular choice for weddings because they offer things that a standard photographer cannot. For example, most photobooths have the option of choosing a cool background for your photos. Sometimes there are silly props like hats, sunglasses, feather boas, or fake mustaches. And, your guests can usually view/upload the photos within just a few days- sometimes even the day of the wedding!

Photobooths are a great way to keep your guests entertained at the reception while they await your grand entrance as a married couple. They can also keep antsy children occupied. Not sure you can fit a photobooth into your wedding budget? Try a DIY version. Create a fun background at your wedding location. Hang a curtain, or find a nice background on a building. Buy a handful of inexpensive props and let your guests take fun photos at their leisure. You can buy a few disposable cameras for them to use, or ask your photographer to capture some shots during cocktail hour. However, the easiest way to go is with a standard photobooth, which is definitely worth the investment.
