Pink Takes on a New Meaning in October

Posted by Grace on 1st Jan 2014

It is no secret that we love pink, all the time. We love it for all its girliness, its innocence, and its playfulness. This month, however, we want to address a much more serious connection to the color pink: Breast Cancer Awareness. The statistics are quite sobering: It is estimated that roughly 300,000 women (that's about 1 in 8 ) will be newly diagnosed with breast cancer this year in the United States alone, and almost 40,000 women will die from it. From awareness to survival, there is much work to be done. This is why Pink Princess will be donating a portion of all sales from October 12, 2012 to October 31, 2012 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Los Angeles County. They are working towards a world without breast cancer, and we share that vision with them.
