Pink Princess has teamed up with “The Real” talk show to surprise Shelby Philion, the 9-year-old founder of Kids Caring About Costumes, with a closetful of brand new costumes for her charity! Each October, Kids Caring About Costumes provides new and gently used costumes to children whose families are not able to afford dressing up for Halloween. These kids can stop by their local Kids Caring About Costumes event and “shop” for a free costume. Often times, the kids are so excited by the new costumes, they will walk away from the event wearing them! Shelby started Kids Caring About Costumes when she was only 7 years old, after reading an article about girls who donated gently used prom dresses to those who couldn’t afford them. Pink Princess is thrilled to be donating over 100 costumes to Shelby’s efforts, and together with “The Real” staff and audience members, we helped Shelby nearly double the amount of donated costumes this year!
