Loose Locks and Flowers: A Popular Wedding Hairstyle

Posted by Leena Kollar on 20th May 2015

Next to choosing the dress, the most important decision a bride-to-be has to make is how to style her hair for the big day. Do you wear it up or down? Do you straighten it or curl it? This year, a popular hair trend is loose waves. The tousled bedhead look is in, even for weddings. And for the bride who wants a spring wedding, a natural embellishment to consider for the hair is flowers. You'll see many brides wearing a floral head crown, which gives the hair a bohemian look. This is a good option for a beach wedding, or a more casual ceremony. If you want something more traditional, try putting flowers into your hair, instead of topping your head with a crown.

With loose waves, you can wear your hair up or down. The nice thing about this style is that you don't actually need to style it. You can use a curling iron or hot rollers to create a loose wave, but beyond that, a spritz of hairspray is all you need. Your hairstylist can add the flowers to your hair in a way that fits the look you want. Ask your florist about extra flowers to use for your 'do, and check places like Pinterest for ideas. April showers bring May flowers...and so do spring weddings. What do you think about the flowers in the hair look? Are you a fan of the loose waves?
