McKayla Maroney At two-years-old, McKayla started running around on all fours after watching the movie Tarzan. In order to exhaust her daughter's boundless energy, McKayla's mom enrolled her in gymnastics, and the rest is Olympic gold history. Aly Raisman Team captain Aly's mom was a high school gymnast, and Aly began her gymnastics "career" at the age of two when mom and daughter attended a Mommy and Me class. "I always had a lot of energy," she said, "so it was the perfect fit! I have always loved it ever since!" Kyla Ross Even as a baby, the Hawaiian-born Kyla Ross was always super strong and super energetic. Her mother once said that her daughter "was born with muscles. We would go to the park and everybody would say 'Whose baby is on top of that jungle gym?' And I would say 'Oh, that's my baby. Don't worry about her, she's fine.'" Jordyn Wieber Like fellow teammate Kyla, defending all-around champ Jordyn was "born with muscles." "I was probably two or three," She once said. "My parents noticed that I had unusually bigger muscles than a typical little kid, so they put me in gymnastics." With a Team Gold Medal and more medals to come, let's hear it for little girls with big muscles!
