Arctic Colors For a Winter Wedding

Posted by Leena Kollar on 7th Jan 2015

There is something about winter weddings that is romantic and whimsical. Especially when there is lots and lots of snow. But even when there isn't snow, the winter vibe has something cozy about it. When I look at pictures of winter weddings, I can't help but crave a cup of hot chocolate. I envision pine cones and cinnamon sticks and snowflakes as centerpieces. I can see why some couples choose winter as the time to have their wedding. When it comes to winter wedding colors, you usually see a lot of holiday shades like deep red or green. But winter isn't just about the holidays. And while red and green are standard winter colors, other hues are becoming more popular. Thanks to the Frozen frenzy that has taken over households across America, more "arctic" winter colors are coming out of hibernation. Blue, silver and white are winter colors that resemble a snow princess or ice queen, making them a better choice for a winter wedding.

You can use these arctic colors for your decor, or even incorporate them into your wedding makeup look. You can choose bridesmaid or flower girl dresses in an arctic hue, or choose a bouquet with some blue and silver flowers (if they are in season). If you want a winter wedding that doesn't scream "holidays," go with a more icy color scheme. You'll create a beautiful winter wedding wonderland with you as the most beautiful element of all!
