April Showers Bring May Flowers

Posted by Leena Kollar on 7th May 2014

You have probably heard the old adage, April showers bring May flowers. Now that spring is here, it's time for the flowers to come out and play. The great thing about floral fashion pieces for girls is that they are feminine and pretty. Even at a young age, they remind us that beauty is all around us. There is a reason that flowers are such a big part of weddings- they are beautiful and make us think about love. And while our little girls are way too young to start thinking about love (romantic love, anyway), they are never too young to bring the beauty of flowers into their wardrobes. The best season for wearing flowers is spring. And of course, for most girlie girls, that means wearing fun dresses that they can twirl around in. Top off those dresses with a flower design headband and some pretty spring shoes, and you have quite a floral fashionista! To inspire you and your sweet spring girls, here are three PinkPrincess spring dresses. Each one, while floral and springy, brings something unique to the table. This pink 3-tier floral chiffon dress is fun because of the ruffled layers and of course, what little girl doesn't love pink? The bow around the waist adds an extra element of girliness, making this tea length dress a fabulous choice for spring!

For girls who don't like too much pink, this aqua chiffon dress w/ rose buds is a nice, simple piece. It's free flowing skirt would be great for all of that twirling! And the rose buds at the top add a nice floral element without going overboard. This is a great dress for those more free spirited girls.
One final spring dress option that I love is this lime green taffeta dress w/ white lace. Lace is also a very feminine detail and is prominent in many weddings. For the mini romantic, this dress is springy and girlie and your sweetie will not only feel pretty in it, but she can parade around, pretending it is her wedding dress. I know, you don't want to think about your little girl getting married...but once she realizes that boys have cooties, she'll find something else to focus on. At least until she realizes boys don't really have cooties.
