A Sweet Treat: Wedding Candy Bars

If you have been to any weddings recently, you may have noticed that many couples are choosing to treat their guests to a candy bar. This wedding trend has been growing, and couples who choose to have a candy bar do it in different ways. Some will have clear bags for guests to load up candy with as a wedding favor to take home. Some will have candy available, along with a small sweet like cupcakes. Some couples choose to have a candy bar in addition to a wedding cake. I don't know if the wedding candy bar trend has been growing due to the number of children attending weddings, or because couples want to do something different.

I like the idea of having a wedding candy bar, because it gives wedding guests options. They may not like the flavor(s) of cake being served. Or maybe they don't like cake at all, or can't eat cake. A candy bar allows them an alternative so they can still feel like they are part of the occasion. And, a candy bar usually offers a variety of treats, so there is bound to be something for everyone to enjoy. What do you think of the wedding candy bar?
