A Real Pink Princess

Posted by Leena Kollar on 26th Mar 2014

This year, fashion is all about being unique and taking risks. This trend is extending into the wedding world, which makes lots of brides-to-be giddy with excitement! For the nontraditional woman, this means getting to incorporate wedding elements that would normally be ill received by grandma Betty and her generation. When I got married, I had a rainbow themed wedding. I added multi-colored beading to my wedding dress and veil and the pop of rainbow prism was fabulous! So in 2014, if you want to add some color to your wedding attire, go for it! Envision feathers or a peacock theme? Awesome! Want to have a summer wedding and wear a knee length dress that looks more like a cocktail number? You have my support! Whatever "out of the box" ideas you have for your wedding, they are going to get encouragement this year, thanks to the "anything goes" (well, almost) mentality in the fashion world. One trend I am loving right now is the pink wedding dress trend. I love the light blush color for wedding gowns, like with this sheath gown from Rosa Clara Bridal.

The pink is subtle yet noticeable and you can add some accessory or jewelry embellishments to dress it up. It would be a great choice for a vintage style soiree! If you are getting married this year and want to do something different on your big day, adding some pink is a lovely idea.
